Karni Postel (born April 14, 1971) is an Israeli singer-songwriter, cellist, experimental artist and producer. She has had a long career as a session musician, playing cello and singing with Assaf Amdursky, Dana Berger, Aviv Geffen, Berry Sakharof, Vered Klepter, Shalom Hanoch, The Friends of Natasha and Alona Daniel. In 1994 she partnered with Laroz to form the duo Bikini, which released two albums. Postel launched a solo career in 2001 with a self-titled album which enjoyed significant airplay in Israel. She composed the original musical score for Yasmeen Godder's dance production "Sudden Birds" which debuted at the Curtain Up 2002 Festival. The music was released on CD in 2008. She also made a guest appearance on the 2005 debut album by alternative rock group Metropolin, serving as the band's cellist on the subsequent tour. Postel is currently a member of the Dorlir String Quartet.
