Rock (Classic Rock, Blues Rock, Psychedelic Rock)

Limited Edition Original Package (Only for mail order) This is the fold out card cover version. Track 1 - Tivoli Gardens, Stockholm (September 20, 1968) From one of the first shows by "The New Yardbirds" Track 2 - Tivoli Gardens, Stockholm (September 20, 1968) A hot three-member blues improvisation. Page is absent because of a broken string. this piece was never performed again. Track 3 - Fillmore West (January 9, 1969) A most impressive marathon and one of the highlights of the early concerts that never saw its way to the official albums. Track 4 - British Supershow, Staines, Middlesex (March 25, 1969) Originally a folk piece by Jake Holmes. Page rearranged it completely first for the Yardbirds and then for Zeppelin. What makes this cut even greater is Jimmy Page's guitar playing with violin bow. Track 5 - Fillmore West (April 27, 1969) A probable inspiration for "Since I've Been Loving You". Track 6 - John Peel Session (June 23, 1969) Instrumental portion reminiscent of the material found on "Presence" which followed by some seven years later. Track 7 - John Peel Session (June 23, 1969) A rockabilly classic with an unusual piano solo. Track 8 - Playhouse Theatre, London (June 27, 1969) A completely rearranged Willie Dixon track, including passages from "Stones In My Passway" by Robert Johnson. Although rarely played with an organ solo, this version includes a long one. Track 9 - Headley Grange, Hampshire (rehearsals January 1971) This is one of the most important piece of the band, here in a shy acoustic genesis. Track 10 - Headley Grange, Hampshire (rehearsals January 1971) This instrumental improvisation from the best Page with his great guitar riff, never became a Led Zeppelin piece. Track 11 - Headley Grange, Hampshire (rehearsals January 1971) Jazzy, up-temp version. The vocal is completely different from the version released on "Houses Of The Holy". Track 12 - Earl's Court Arena, London, (May 24, 1975) A powerful version heavily underlined by the shouts and hard drumming of John Bonham.
