Tracks 1 & 2 recorded live at Auditorium Dell'Accademia Nazionale Di Santa Cecilia, Rome on 11 October 1985. Electronic realisation by Experimentalstudio Der Heinrich-Strobel-Stiftung Des Südwestfunks Freiburg. Track 3 recorded live at theater "Il Fabbricone", Prato, Italy on 22 June 1991. Track 1, for bass flute, double-bass clarinet and live electronics, was composed in 1985 and dedicated to Pierre Boulez on his 60th birthday. Track 2, for 4 female voices, flute, cello and live electronics, composed in 1982. Track 3, for tuba and live electronics, composed in 1987 for Giancarlo Schiaffini. Sleeve notes credit Roberto Fabbriciani for "contrabass flute in G" on track 1, but it's actually bass flute.
