Album 2010 on Postcommodity Publications label
Spoken Word (Spoken Word, Poetry)
Recorded in Mutišov at 12/05/2007 In the fall of 2006, Dan Collins, director of the Intermedia Department at Arizona State University in Phoenix, introduced Kade Twist, founding member of Postcommodity, to alexander Stipsits, director of the Centre For The Future. Following a brief but inspiring conversation, a plan was made to invite Postcommodity, America's most exciting Native contemporary arts collective, for a series of projects in the Czech Republic: Intersections at the Institute Slavonice. During their stay they were introduced (by Tomas Heczko, founding member of radios.cz) to Ivan Martin Jirous, also known as Magor, who was a legend of the Czech Underground. Jirous was imprisoned several times during the 1970s and 1980s for his cultural activities, spending a total of eight and half years behind bars. After the collapse of the communist regime, he became a recognized and respected representative of Czech literature. He was awarded the Jaroslav Seifert Prize in 2006 for his literary achievements.
