A coupling of two 1956 GEMS recordings. Both had previously been issued on separate 78s, backed with different tracks. This pressing probably dates from 1958. Melodisc reissued a number of tracks on 45 towards the end of the 1950s. Like a lot of UK issues of the time this one was exported elsewhere and was available in the US and Caribbean as well. Mighty Sparrow's name is misspelt on the label as Mighty Sparow. Melody would return to I Confess on two occasions, once for the 1958 compilation Calypso Carnival 1958 on Balisier, and once more in 1962 as Yours Sincerely on the Cook album Lord Melody 1962/More Calypsoes By Lord Melody
