Album PL 2011 on Gig Ant label
Electronic, Jazz, Rock, R&B/Soul and Pop (Broken Beat, Soul, Future Jazz, Dubstep, Power Electronics, Downtempo)
The approach on the third Miloopa album 'Optica' brakes down many barriers of pop, rock, soul, world and electronic music. Miloopa diffracts all influences creating it’s own exciting and hypnotizing musical space. The organic nature of 'Optica' draws a picture of a band with no boundaries with great ability to condense multi-colored shadows of many musical styles. Forward thinking is without a question the most noticable element as Miloopa goes into different directions at the same time. The band’s optics have been yet again focused on real analog instruments used to apply modern electronic ideas. The cooperation with swiss producer Roli Mosimann has been a big factor for Miloopa’s distinctive – one of a kind – studio live sound. 'Optica' has also become a ground for new collaborations with abstract hip-hop pioneers Anti Pop Consortium and norwegian guitarist Eivind Aarset.
