Mystic Fugu Orchestra is a one-off project of John Zorn (appearing under the moniker Rav Tzizit) and Yamantaka Eye (Rav Yechida in this duo), inspired by historical recordings of ancient Judaica. Mystic Fugu Orchestra only ever released one album, Zohar, and it was planned as the first one in the series of Zorn/Eye releases for Tzadik in 1995. This disc mimics some mysterious "newly discovered" old Kabbalah recordings, and a heavy layer of surface noise was added in the mix, to imitate the sound of 78 rpm record. Other duo collaborations of John Zorn and Yamantaka Eye on Tzadik are: Nani Nani (1995) Naninani II (2004) Volume Ten in John Zorn's "50th Birthday Celebration" series (2005)
