Born in Washington State, Patrick Barry plays co-principal clarinet with The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, having taken up the position in 2000. He is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied with David Neuman and Luis Baez. He is also a member of the contemporary music ensemble Stroma.
