American jazz bassist NOTE: Not to be confused with session guitarist Paul Jackson Jr. Born on 28.03.1947 in Oakland, USA. Founding member of the jazz-funk band The Herbie Hancock Group who recorded the epic album "Head Hunters" & later released material as The Headhunters in the 1970s. Since 1985, he moved his residence to Japan and continued to be active in many aspects of the Japanese music scene.
