A Virginia-based songwriter, singer, and guitarist who had been recording albums since 1976, had been in bands with Bruce Springsteen, co-wrote songs with Timothy B. Schmit of the Eagles, won the American Song Festival twice, and wrote tons of music for commercials and films. Died October 10, 2015 of complications from cancer.
