A.k.a. Ray Willson Dusq. Sundrenched
Sleeping, Dreaming was the musical and visual output of multi-instrumentalist, electronic musician, producer, sound engineer and visual artist Ray Willson from 2007 to 2009. Two EP's were officially released to limited but great acclaim in the blogosphere in the late 2000's, peaking with his debut single, Dreaming. In late 2009, Ray started The Southeast Art Collective before quickly switching aliases to the better known Sundrenched, where he amassed a small cult following online. Sundrenched continued to flourish, working with The B-52's Fred Schneider in 2010 through the single Fruitcake (Rebaked), as well as Daisuke Tanabe in 2015. Songs from Ice Cream Truck and Emerald.EP have been used in commercials and indie films around the world, including several online segments from PlayBoy in 2015. In additional to his musical background, his visual artwork (under the alias dusq.) has gotten praise from Brainfeeder and Warp Records contemporaries including Flying Lotus, Teebs, Ras G, Gonjasufi, Thundercat and more.
