Liner notes: "living alone in 2011 and 2012, ray quietly got lost in a blanket of sound. washing over him was a mound of guitar loops and tape hiss, found sounds and audio artifacts. these sounds became the foundation for what was to come- beat based rhythmic experiments, odd time signatures and a constant restating of related harmonic themes. it didn't seem to matter the starting point- it all headed in the same direction, as if by magnetic force. with or without encouragement, a consistent sound seemed to shine through. the most natural path of least resistance was finally found."
