Bill Perkins comments on the band: The band was 'hand-picked' by a sort of consortium, comprised of Bill Craig, orchestra manager / bass trombonist Rick Bullock, several of my musician friends, and myself. The Idea was to get a compatible blend of younger musicians and older or, as they say, 'more mature' musicians.About half of the players had been in Woody's bands at one time or other.
