The E Family is the Escovedo Family, comprising of Sheila E, her brothers Peter Michael Escovedo, Juan Escovedo and their dad Pete Escovedo. Although all members have guested on eachother's releases in the past, this is the first full-fledged album credited to the E(scovedo) Family. A lot of other relatives also join in, either on percussion or backing vocals, alongside a group of guest singers and musicians such as Joss Stone, Gloria Estefan, George Duke and Earth Wind & Fire.
