Download only available through RSD. "The Residents launched their 1989 performance piece, CUBE E: The History of American Music in 3 EZ Pieces, with a series of five shows in San Francisco. Of the three parts (impact of the cowboy, slavery, rock & roll) the middle section, the influence of black music, got short changed. There was a good reason this happened. This section was the only one that was written specifically for the show so it had never been recorded in a studio. The other two sections had already been released prior to the tour. So no complete recording of Black Barry existed other than an anniversary box set of the entire show and a much overlooked cassette from the San Francisco run. This is Black Barry from the San Francisco early shows. 1989. Twenty minutes. Quality digital recording. Remastered." (notes from RSD website)
