Record Store Day 2017 release "Probably the main reason for the success of the Spencer Davis Group is the material they choose to perform. This E.P. contains four of their more popular numbers broadcast in 1965/66. "My Baby" is sung by Spencer Davis, and was recorded as their release after "Dimples". However, "I Can't Stand It" was chosen instead. "Please Do Something" is a soul type number which was originally recorded by Don Covay, who had a big hit in America with "Mercy, Mercy". "Keep on Running" the Jackie Edwards number features Stevie on guitar, and is probably his most popular number on stage. On "Rambling Rose", he is composer, guitarist and vocalist. Each track on the E.P. is completely different in style, and shows the variety of music the Spencer Davis Group perform. Otis Blackwell"
