World, Jazz and Folk
The Grammy Award winning duo of guitarist Eric Tigstad and multi-instrumentalist Nancy Rumbel have been recording and performing together since 1985, producing a mixture of contemporary jazz and new age music, with both neoclassical and folk influences and elements. Rumbel had been a member of the Paul Winter Consort for eight years before moving to Seattle and meeting Tingstad. She mainly plays oboe, English horn and double ocarina. They were signed by Narada in 1985, which released their debut Christmas album, "The Gift". The album "Acoustic Garden" won the 2002 Grammy for Best New Age Album.
