The songs on this album were recorded between 1944 and 1952. Side 1's songs come from a concert in San Francisco, CA in the Fall of 1946. The songs were all taken from 78rpm acetate transcription discs. Side 2's songs were all recorded in Los Angeles. The first 4 tracks were recorded between 1944 and 1947. Those 4 song feature a sextet (Which is not yet located on Discogs) led by guitarist Tiny Grimes. The last two tracks ("Easy To Love" and "Tenderly") were recorded about 1952. A3 mistakenly credited to E. B. Marks, which is the publisher and not the author.
