Compil. US 1972 on BASF label
Jazz (Big Band)
A1-B4 recorded at Lindstrom Studios, Cologne. C1-D4 recorded at Rhenus Studios, Cologne. Released in a Unipak sleeve with a single pocket for two records, with the front cover folding over the LP opening. Printed along the fold: UNIPAK U.S. PATENT NO. 3,426,960 PRINTED IN U.S.A. Title on front and back of sleeve: "Ebulient Roaring Screaming Big Band Sound." Title on spine: "Big Band Sound." Title on record labels: "Ebulient Roaring Screaming." Sleeve credits Kenny Clarke and Francy Boland as individuals. Record labels credit The Kenny Clarke Francy Boland Big Band. Ebullient is consistently spelled with one L. "Lullaby Of The Leaves" is listed as "Lullaby On The Leaves." Credits are listed as on release. However, there appear to be several errors. Tracks A1 to B4 appear to be drawn from More Smiles, which credits Nat Peck as a trombonist. "More Smiles" also credits Tony Coe on saxophone, and Dusko Goykovich and Tony Fisher on trumpet. Coe, Goykovich, and Fisher are not listed in the personnel of this release, although Coe is credited as a soloist on tracks A2, A4, B1, and B4.
