Album US 1940 on Columbia label
Jazz and Pop (Vocal, Swing)
Original first-pressing 1940 "Jazz Masterwork" issue, with Frank Sinatra credited in small print as "Vocal Chorus" on Side A and instrumentalists all listed below artist name on both sides (set in serif type). Besides this factor, another distinguishing characteristic of this from the more prevalent 1943 pressing (along with the elimination of the "Jazz Masterwork" notice, promotion of Sinatra's name, and instrumentalists' credits from Side A and their credits on Side B being set in sans-serif type) is the wording of the three-line manufacturing notice below the label name, which changed (along with the typesetting for same) in 1942.
