Dedicated to the people of Hawaii who accepted me as one of their own. "Exotica" recorded at Webbley Edwards' Studio, Honolulu, Hawaii, December 1956 on two track monaural. Released in May 1957. "Exotica II" recorded at Capitol Records Studio, June 14, 18 & 19, 1957 in stereo. Released in July 1958. Instrumental additions (tracks 13-24): orchestral bells, chimes, piccolo, tree bells, tree cymbals, tuned slit boxes, uli-uli (feathered gourd), guira, quejada (jaw bone), crotales (tuned cymbals), boobams, bamboo chimes, glass chimes, assorted gongs.
