Compil. 2012 on Verve Records label
Jazz (Bossa Nova, Latin Jazz)
"Two classic albums on one CD. Brand new digital remaster from the original sources. Full original album art inside." Jazz Samba originally released as Verve V6-8432. Recorded in Pierce Hall, All Souls Unitarian Church, Washington, D.C., February 13, 1962. Jazz Samba Encore! originally released as Verve V6-8523. Recorded February 8, 9 & 27, 1963, New York. Samba De Duas Notas only uses the subtitle "Two Note Samba" on the original reproduced tracklisting. Some contradictions exist between the original credits on the printed facsimiles, and the reissue's credits: The original credit of Jazz Samba list Bill Reichenbach on drums, the reissue's credits put him under percussion. Track 9 (So So Danço Samba) only gives Antonia Carlos Jobim writer's credits on the original credits; the reissue's credits additionally credit Vinícius de Moraes. The original credits consistently use Luiz Bonfa, while the reissue's credits correctly use the spelling Luiz Bonfá. Jazz Samba ℗ 1962 The Verve Music Group, a Division of UMG Recordings, Inc.
