Album US 1968 on A&M Records label
Jazz (Post-Bop, Cool Jazz)
Original 1968 US A&M Records 1st label variation edition with the signature of the CTI founder, Creed Taylor, printed on the center record labels. Released in a full matte laminated gate fold jacket. The CTI logo on the center record labels of this edition is printed above the word STEREO, tracks A1, and B1 are printed above the spindle hole. The MR stamped in a circle, and the etching of a triangle △, within the matrices of the dead wax, indicates this was pressed at the: Monarch Record Mfg. Co.. Herbie Hancock appears through the courtesy of Blue Note Records. The identity of "The Fluteman" remains in question. While Herbie Mann has confirmed to researcher Dan Skea that he appears on this record, producer Creed Taylor has also informed this researcher that Hubert Laws is the mysterious flautist. Given the aural evidence, it is possible that both appear under this title.
