Total playing time: 75:27 Recorded 12/1957 (1-5), 4/1960 (6-16), USA An American in Paris and Rodeo were recorded on December 20, 1957, using one Telefunken 201 and two M56 microphones. The Gershwin was released on SR90290; Rodeo, on SR90172. The Schuller Seven Studies was recorded on April 16 and 17, 1960, and the Bloch also on the 17th. The Schuller was first released on SR90282; the Bloch, on SR90288. Three Telefunken 201 microphones were used for those sessions. All works were recorded on 3-track half-inch tape in Northrop Auditorium in Minneapolis. Only ORIGINAL MASTERS used for transfer to Compact Disc. ℗Mercury This compilation ℗1993 ©1993 Philips Classics Productions Printed in USA CD comes packaged in a standard plastic jewel case (with a red tray) and includes a 24 page booklet with notes in English.
