Total Playing Time: 77:17 Handel's "Water Music Suite" was recorded on July 6 and "Royal Fireworks Music" on July 8, 1957 with one 201 and two M56 Telefunken microphones, in Watford Town Hall, outside London. They were originally released as SR90158. Mozart's "Eine kleine Natchmusik" was recorded with one 201 and two M54 Telefunken microphones in Walthamstow Town Hall on July 6, 1956 and first released on SR90121. The "Allegro" and "Three German Dances" were recorded on August 4, 1965 and the three "Marches" and "Minuet" on August 1 of that same year. All sessions were held in Watford Town Hall, using three 201 Telefunken microphones. The first release of tracks 14-21 was on SR90438. All recordings were made on 3-track half-inch tape. ORIGINAL MASTERS used for all transfers on this Compact Disc except for tracks 14-21, for which the original 3-track masters were no longer available and 2-track masters were used instead.
